Home Is Where the Heart Is

Home Is Where the Heart Is

Last April, my husband Neil and I set off on the adventure of a lifetime in our off-road caravan, Pegasus. For six incredible months, we journeyed through Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, and Zanzibar. Each destination welcomed us with open arms, and the landscapes, people, and stories left an indelible mark on our hearts.

From the vast, sun-drenched dunes of Namibia to the rich, red earth of Kenya, and the vibrant street life of Zanzibar, every step of the journey offered new textures, colours, and emotions. These places weren’t just stops on a map - they became living canvases. The warmth of the people, the rhythm of daily life, and the awe-inspiring beauty of nature stirred something deep within me as an artist.

Following our time in Africa, we spent six more months with family in Australia - a time filled with joy, reconnection, and inspiration from the coastal landscapes and gentle energy of that side of the world. Parting was difficult, but we left filled with love, gratitude, and renewed creativity.

This year of travel has profoundly shaped the way I see the world and the way I paint. I’ve returned with a richer, more grounded perspective. You’ll soon begin to see pieces emerge that are inspired by this incredible journey - works that celebrate movement, spirit, culture, and the deep connection we share with one another and with nature.

I’m so excited to share that Fine Arts 4 All is once again live and fully functional! You’re warmly invited to explore the site, rediscover old favourites, and keep an eye out for new pieces that reflect the sights, stories, and soul of our travels.

More reflections and artworks from this journey are still to come - I can’t wait to take you along for the next chapter.
