At Fine Arts 4 All, we are committed to helping artists deliver their work safely and efficiently to buyers across South Africa and beyond. This Shipping Policy explains how shipping is managed through our platform and what you can expect when purchasing or selling artwork with us.
1. Shipping Responsibilities
Shipping is artist-led. This means each artist is responsible for:
- Packaging and dispatching their artwork after a sale
- Communicating timelines and shipping details to the buyer
- Ensuring the safe and secure delivery of the item
Buyers and sellers are encouraged to communicate promptly after a sale to coordinate delivery.
2. Shipping Destinations
- Local: Artists may choose to offer shipping within South Africa.
- International: Some artists may be open to shipping worldwide. Availability and costs will vary—please contact the artist via the product listing or email us for queries.
3. Processing & Dispatch Times
As each piece is unique and may be made-to-order or already complete, timelines can vary. Artists are expected to dispatch sold items within 3–7 business days of payment confirmation, unless otherwise stated on the artwork listing.
Custom pieces may take longer, and estimated timelines should be clearly stated in the artwork description.
4. Shipping Methods & Delivery Times
Delivery timeframes will depend on the artist’s location and courier services used. Typical delivery ranges:
- South Africa (Major Centres): 3–7 business days
- Remote/Outlying Areas: Up to 10 business days
- International Deliveries: Varies depending on destination and customs
Each artist is encouraged to use reputable courier services that offer tracking and insurance where appropriate.
5. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are set by individual artists and based on artwork size, weight, destination, and courier service. These fees will be displayed at checkout or clearly communicated after the order.
In some cases, free local delivery or collection may be available—this will be indicated on the listing.
6. Order Tracking
Where available, tracking details will be provided once the artist dispatches the order. You’ll receive this via email or through your account dashboard.
If tracking is not provided, you may reach out directly to the artist or email us at info@finearts4all.co.za for support.
7. Packaging
Artists are responsible for ensuring that all artworks are packaged securely to prevent damage during transit. This may include protective wrapping, rigid supports, and waterproof packaging.
8. Delays or Delivery Issues
While most deliveries arrive on time, unexpected delays (e.g., public holidays, customs checks, courier backlogs) may occur. Artists and buyers are expected to remain in contact should any delays arise.

9. Lost or Damaged Items
If a piece arrives damaged or is lost in transit:
- Please notify us within 48 hours of delivery (or expected delivery) at info@finearts4all.com
- Include your order number, photos (if damaged), and a description of the issue.
We will work with both the buyer and artist to resolve the issue promptly, which may include a refund, repair, or replacement if possible.
10. Unavailable Items
In rare cases, a listed artwork may no longer be available at the time of purchase. If this occurs, we will notify you promptly and offer:
- A full refund (processed within 5–7 business days)
- An option to select a different piece or commission a similar artwork
- A credit note to use toward a future purchase
